A few weeks ago I went on a ride with Cheri and Deb, up to the "rock pile," heading down into Dry Creek canyon. The thought that came to mind was, "I love early season rides...they make you keenly aware of your POTENTIAL!" (our sister Deb is ruthless, by the way)
Today, on the other hand, was a bit different. Now, I have no one who saw it, mind you (I had the day off and couldn't find anyone who could go out on an afternoon ride), but today I climbed all the way to Ray's Summit at Sundance! Yes, even that really steep, loose, gnarly stretch of road above Arrowhead base. Bear in mind, I never made up without having to walk that steep portion even ONCE last year. Yep, pretty proud of myself.
Sundance was beautiful today (I'm really not trying to make anyone homesick), even a little snow on the trails.
These other photos, for your enjoyment, are just a little of what you missed in the last few weeks around these parts. Oh, the joy (for mom, at least) of children and grandchildren singing around the piano on Mother's Day! Just a shame you all missed it!

I even caught Tyler smiling--go figure!

Ian and Ty make a rare appearance at a family dinner! Make a note of it.
